Ola Electric is the first company to receive the PLI-Auto certificate from ICAT for its two BEVs, meeting the 50% DVA requirement.
The PLI and FAME-II schemes by the Ministry of Heavy Industries aim to boost EV adoption and domestic manufacturing.
M&M and Tata Motors also secured certifications, from ARAI, making their EVs eligible for scheme benefits.
The FAME-II incentives will remain available until March 2024, offering financial benefits for EV adoption.
The PLI scheme, with a budget of ₹25,938 crore, is designed to attract investments and enhance the automotive value chain.
